The Endurance Expedition FAQ
- When will the carriers jump?
The carriers will jump around 10 am UTC (11am BST) each day though there may be changes due to real-life getting in the way. The Discord channel, blog and Twitter will be updated to keep CMDRs informed about the next day’s route and jump time.
2. How long will we stay in an overnight system during the Expedition?
24 to 48 hours depending on the system we are in. We will supply information about the carrier jump schedule each day on this blog and social media sites.
3. How far will the carrier jump?
We expect to do five to six jumps (3000ly) which usually takes around two hours. Certainly, we want to do no more than eight in a day! I did 16 carrier jumps once and nearly got space madness!
4. What happens if I miss a jump or can’t make it back to the carrier in time?
Let us know via Twitter (tweet or DM)or Discord. We will hold back a carrier to pick you up. We do NOT want to leave anyone behind. We can also be contacted via email at theenduranceexpedition@gmail.com
5. How Many ships can I bring?
As many as you’d like if they are stored on Hebridean Isles Q1Y 99Z.
6. Is there an outfitting service?
Yes. Hebridean Isles has an Outfitting service with exploration, mining and rescue modules. Some weapons and utilities are available too.
7. Can I help refuel the carriers by mining Tritium?
Absolutely. Refuelling the carriers will be one of the more challenging aspects of the expedition. Every bit of help will be warmly welcomed.
8. Are there services for Odyssey CMDRs i.e Vista Genomics and Pioneer Supplies on the carriers?
Yes. Mornington Crescent and Hebridean Isles both have Vista Genomics and a bar. Hebridean Isles also has Pioneer Supplies (with suits, weapons, suit batteries etc) run by the very friendly Fidel. Go say hello!
9. Will there be CMDR meetups in the carrier bars?
Yes. Sadly our console CMDR friends will not be able to join in (including our very own CMDR Dim3bar) but for Odyssey CMDRs we will have meetups in the bar. Details of meetups will be posted on social media and the blog. We also encourage CMDRs to organise their own.
10. Does the Expedition have its own Squadron?
Yes. Endurance Exploration ENEX
11. How long will the Expedition last?
We don’t see a return to the Bubble before late September. Moving the carriers through deep space on the way to Beagle Point will take some time. Refuelling the carriers is also time-consuming. We also want to give CMDRs the opportunity and time to explore as much as possible.
12. I need rescuing, can I call for help?
Yes, the expedition has its own rescue channel on Discord but messages can be sent via Twitter (DM us so you must follow the @EnduranceExplo2 Twitter feed). We also have an email address theenduranceexpedition@gmail.com. Hebridean Isles carries repair and refuel limpets/controllers available in outfitting.
13. Can I leave the carrier at Colonia?
CMDRs can join or leave the Expedition whenever they wish.
14. How long will the carriers stay in Colonia, Sagittarius A* and Beagle Point?
Certainly at least a week to ten days. Probably longer.
15. How do I keep up to date with where the expedition is currently located and the jump times?
Follow us on this blog and on Twitter. We also have a Discord channel @ discord.gg/zhX8j28ADu
15. Is there an Endurance Expedition guest book?
Yes you can let us know if you are on the Expedition by signing our guest book at https://t.co/oR3ZjhPYc1
16. Does the Expedition have a stream?
It has two.
